After more than 40 years in business, Thomson Directories has gone in to liquidation. The once popular ‘local’ directory failed to keep up with the times and has been forced to close, with a loss of 170 jobs. More here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-23710958

Thomson Directories was a direct competitor to the Yellow Pages – who changed their name to Yell before, for some bizarre reason, becoming Hibu.
